The Chinese Language Program of Southwest University of Political Science and Law (SWUPL) is open to international students who love Chinese language. International students will study Chinese full-time in School of International Education, Southwest University of Political Science and Law. The program offers elementary, intermediate and advanced Chinese courses, with small class teaching. Students who have passed the Chinese language proficiency entrance test will enter the corresponding classes, and each class has about 15-25 students. Usually there are 14-20 class hours per week for one semester, with a total of 17 weeks.
The main courses include: Comprehensive Chinese, Oral Chinese, Chinese listening, Chinese writing, Chinese reading, Chinese culture, HSK training, etc. Students can choose one or two elective courses according to their own interests, such as Chinese calligraphy and Chinese martial arts.
To help students gain a deeper understanding of the history and culture of China and Chongqing, SWUPL arranges cultural experience activities for program students every semester. • be foreign students with a senior high school or university diploma;
• be in good health, be virtuous, be willing to abide by the laws and decrees of China and the rules and regulations of SWUPL, and respect Chinese traditions, customs, and social morality;
• be no younger than 18 years old and no older than 45 years old.

STEP 2: Fill out the application and upload all required documents as follows
• A formal personal photo
• Copy of valid passport (the photo page)
• Copy of the final graduation certificate (if it is not in English or Chinese, please submit the English or Chinese translation). If the applicant is about to graduate or is already employed, he/she must also submit the pre-graduation certificate issued by the school, or the employment certificate issued by the employer.
• Physical examination record (Download here: http://studyin.swupl.edu.cn/Download/index.htm) The physical examination must cover all of the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered as invalid. Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only 6 months.
