Scholarship Introduction
Southwest University of Political Science and Law (SWUPL) offers SWUPL President Scholarship to the accepted international students of Bachelor program, Master program, Ph.D program, Chinese language program and exchange program.
The SWUPL President Scholarship for degree programs includes three categories: Category A, B and C.
（1）Doctoral program
Category A : Tuition and accommodation fees are free, with living allowance of 2000 RMB per month (10 months in total)
Category B: Tuition and accommodation fees are free, with living allowance of 1500 RMB per month (10 months in total)
Category C: Tuition and accommodation fees are free, with living allowance of 1000 RMB per month (10 months in total)
（2）Master Program
Category A : Tuition and accommodation fees are free, with living allowance of 1500 RMB per month (10 months in total)
Category B: Tuition and accommodation fees are free, with living allowance of 1000 RMB per month (10 months in total)
Category C: Tuition and accommodation fees are free, with living allowance of 700 RMB per month (10 months in total)
（3）Undergraduate Program
Category A：Tuition and accommodation fees are free, with living allowance of 1000 RMB per month (10 months in total) ;
Category B：Tuition and accommodation fees are free, with living allowance of 700 RMB per month (10 months in total);
Category C：Tuition and accommodation fees are free, no living allowance
（4）Chinese Language Program: 6,000 RMB/Year 3,000 RMB/Semester
（5）Exchange program: 6,000 RMB/Year 3,000 RMB/Semester
Scholarship Eligibility
The applicant shall,
(1) be non-Chinese applicants;
(2) be admitted to or currently study at SWUPL;
(3)not get any other type of scholarship;
(4)have good comprehensive performance at SWUPL;
(5)abide by laws and regulations.
Generally, undergraduate program applicants shall be no more than 25 years old. Master program applicants shall be no more than 35 years old. Doctoral program applicants shall be no more than 45 years old.
Application & Appraisal
Students shall submit application form together with SWUPL application online, and the appraisal result will be sent with admission notice. Annual appraisal for the SWUPL President Scholarship will be held every October. Newly admitted students’ application will be evaluated on the basis of their performance during interview, the language proficiency and so on; students who have been studying at SWUPL for more than one year will be evaluated on the basis of their scores the last year, language proficiency, and comprehensive performance.
