Here comes a full moon night in 2018,here comes a reunion moment for us.Foreign students from all over the world form a big family with love on SWUPL campus, getting together to enjoy happiness of reunion.The 2018 Mid-autumn Festival activity, provides an opportunity for international students to experience traditional Chinese culture, to integrate into SWUPL campus life and to gain friendship and promote cultural communication at the same time. At the full moon night, they express their love through moonlight, convey sweetness of life by mooncakes, and make their wishes through lanterns.

In order to present the most authentic and traditional festival to international students, we organize an activity to ntroduce the knowledge about Mid-Autumn Festival, in which our volunteers introduced the related knowledge of the festival at first and then comes a knowledge competition. The students take an active participation to answer the quiz. Now let’s have a look at the highspot of the activity!

After the heated quiz-answering phase, the most exciting part comes---making lanterns.Lantern(Denglong)has more than 2000 years history, also known as Dengcai, is an ancient traditional Chinese handcraft which originated in the Western Han Dynasty.Because of its rounded shape and colors of festival, making a lantern on the Mid-Autumn Festival symbolizes 'reunion' and 'happiness'. Foreign students make use of their strength to paint lanterns,making the activity spot a sea of colorful lanterns.

Each lantern shows the foreign students' love of traditional Chinese culture, also expresses their love for SWUPL. Even though we are from different corners of the world, we reunion under the same full moon at this moment.China is your home,SWUPL is your home,too.In the future,We will accompany each other,give each other the warmest companionship and the best wish.We are family!
